Drawing and Painting/Sculptures and 3D Work/Miscellaneous crafts.
Students will do all the drawing/painting, sculpture and 3d classes and then choose 2 of the miscellaneous craft classes.

Intro to painting and Colour- Students will learn to make a colour wheel and explore the use of colour through geometric shapes and forms.
Grid Dinrawg- recreating a cartoon or photograph using a grid technique.
Proportion of the human figure- Learning techniques and rules to create proper human proportions
One and Two point Perspective- Learning vanishing points and horizon lines to aid in creating interior/exterior scenes in proper perspective as well as geometric and organic perspective. Scenes will then be painted.
Still life exercises- Students will draw from life and learn gesture drawing, light and shading, colour variants and organic line drawing.
Cartooning and/or Super Hero Drawing- using light boxes and techniques used by Disney andGraphic artists, students will learn tricks and techniques and create their own cartoon characters, backgrounds and flip book animations.
Intro to Sculpture with Air Dry Clay- students will make a vase, pencil holder, small keepsake box or jewellery box out of air dry clay using pottery techniques, The pottery will then be painted.
Hand Mould- Using mould making products students will learn to make realistic mould and replicas of their hands as well as plaster casting. Their castings will then be painted.
Tile Castings- Using clay, students will imbed and make impressions to create small plaster castings that then become wall hangings and tiles. These will then be painted using a water colour staining technique.
Life sculpting- Through the use of three dimensional objects and forms, students will sculpt from life using clay.
Keepsake Boxes- Children will create and paint their own keepsake boxes.
Beading and Jewellery design- Students will create a necklace medallion, keychain token or small charms for a bracelet out of polymer clay. The students will then create a beaded bracelet, necklace or keychain lanyard to accompany the charm.
Photo/Picture Frame- Students will create a fun picture frame to be used to frame one of their drawing/paintings or a photo they provide.
Puzzle- Using drawing and colour techniques learned in previous classes Students will create their own puzzle that they can later take apart and piece back together.
