MYC- Music for Young Children
"MYC is amazing. I didn't know what exactly to expect but I thought it may be
more like a kinder music class. How incorrect my assumptions were! I am
thoroughly impressed with the content and with the teaching methods of this
program. Both my children (1 is in Sunshine and the other is in Sunbeam) have
learned so much more than I would have imagined possible in such a short time.
2-hand playing within 6 months of our first music lesson?! When I look at each
class, there is such a natural progression as the kids learn new concepts and
the kids find the new material all manageable and fun. Surprisingly, it has not
been too much of an effort to get them to practice (especially the sunbeam
student) since they start playing melodies so early on. I have highly
recommended this program to several relatives and friends only to find that they
have already started or are about to start. Why did nobody tell me?!? I'm
always impressed when I hear children play the piano/keyboard so soon after they
started lessons but now I know why (since my kids are now one of those kids who
can play a little tune shortly after just starting lessons). Thank you MYC for
a wonderful program and a huge thank-you to you, Ms. Ayshan, for sharing it with
me."

Young children just love music and often it is through music that young children communicate for the first time, whether it is through gesture, smiling or action.
There is a growing amount of evidence to show that music enhances a child’s ability to think, learn, reason and create and it is in the first five years of a child’s life that all of the formative brain development and connections are being formed.
